Objections To Baptism (3)
We continue and conclude our series of articles discussing some of the more common objections raised to Bible baptism. When we read what the Bible says concerning baptism, we can understand (cf. Eph. 3.4). It is when we allow human traditions and opinions to enter our thinking that objections are raised. Let us continue our study by discussing the objection: “For” In Acts 2.38 Means “Because Of” Not “In Order That.”

Objections To Baptism (2)
“Immersion now saves you” (1 Pet. 3.21, GIV). Despite such clear teaching from the New Testament, many object to the Biblical teaching of baptism being necessary to our salvation. Last week we discussed the thief on the cross in Luke 23.39-43. Let’s examine the following objections: 1) We Are Saved By Faith, 2) Mark 16.16 Does Not Say “He That Does Not Believe And Is Not Baptized Shall Be Condemned.”

The Church In God's Plan For Our Salvation
Over the course of the last year we have examined and explored what the Bible says concerning God’s plan for our salvation. Before ending this series of articles it is important that we also discuss the church. What does the church have to do with God’s plan for our salvation? In Ephesians 5.23-26 Paul says that “Christ is...the savior of the church,” “he gave himself [in death on the cross] for the church.”If Jesus is the savior of the church, then the church has everything to do with our salvation. For we cannot be saved if we are not a member of the church. If one claims to be saved and is not a member of the Lord’s church, then they are saved without a Savior! In this article we also discuss the following points concerning the church of which Jesus is the Savior:
- Origin of the Church
- Membership of the Church
- Organization of the Church
- Worship of the Church
- Work of the Church

Continue In The Faith
After a person becomes a Christian, is he required to do anything else in order to be saved eternally? If the new Christian wants to go to heaven when this world is over, he must heed to the words of Jesus in Revelation 2.10, “Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life” (ESV). Unfortunately many in the religious world reject the necessity of faithfulness. Some teach that we cannot sin so as to fall from God’s grace, or that God’s “special Providence watches over” the welfare of those chosen to be saved and causes them to “persevere to the end.” This perseverance is said to be “not upon their own free will,” meaning that the Christian is not responsible for his going to heaven and, consequently, is not responsible for his going to hell. Is this what the Bible teaches? In this article we discuss the following points:
- Faithfulness in Doctrine
- Faithfulness in Devotion
- Saving Faith Is Steadfast to the End
