Our Evangelist

In the New Testament we find that evangelists were responsible for equipping the saints (Ephesians 4.11-12). Evangelists are not the elders. Paul told Timothy to "do the work of an evangelist" (1 Timothy 4.5). This work includes the admonition of Paul to "preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching" (2 Timothy 4.2).
